GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN, USA – May 10, 2024 – NPAworldwide is proud to announce that Russ Hovendick of Client Staffing Solutions, Inc. (www.clientstaffingsolutions.com) has received the NPAworldwide Community Service Award. This award is presented in recognition of outstanding community service by an individual member of NPAworldwide. In addition to this honor, NPAworldwide has made a contribution of US$1,000 to Empire Baptist Ministries (www.empirebaptistministries.org), which provides a variety of chaplaincy and ministry services across South Dakota.

For many years, Russ Hovendick has devoted time in service to others through volunteer chaplaincy within the South Dakota corrections system. This includes ministry work in jails, prisons, youth penal centers, and assisted living centers in addition to helping veterans transition to private sector roles.
“My goal from day one, whether in the recruiting industry or in my community service efforts, has been to help others. I never dreamed that I would receive such a prized award for just applying the basic principles that should guide all of us in our personal and professional lives,” commented Mr. Hovendick. He continued, “When I was advised of the honor, it literally brought tears to my eyes. It is extremely humbling to be recognized in this manner and I am so thankful to the NPAworldwide community for this award. There are so many others that would qualify, as well. What a terrific recruiting community we have!”
The Community Service Award was established in late 2019 to recognize members who are contributing to their local communities, volunteering, doing charitable activities, or impacting people in ways beyond their work in the network. Nominations are sought from the NPAworldwide membership based on the following criteria: Contribution to the audience or community; Impact on people / results for the community; Legacy or enduring difference made; Time invested / significance of sacrifice. The Community Service Award recipient is chosen by a selection committee, with the award presented during an NPAworldwide conference.
