GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN, USA – September 5, 2019 – NPAworldwide has purchased the assets of Inter-City Personnel Associates (IPA), Menasha, Wisconsin, USA effective September 3, 2019.

“We are certain that the synergies between the members of IPA and NPAworldwide will create value for both groups,” said Dave Nerz, NPAworldwide president. “Clients and candidates of both networks will be better served. We will be better together than we were independently.”

IPA was founded in 1972. Peter Romberg, the owner of IPA, will be focusing on other business opportunities but will remain a friend and contact for NPAworldwide and IPA members. The Romberg family has successfully built and maintained the IPA network for most of its 40-plus year history.

This transaction brings NPAworldwide more than 60 new member recruitment agencies, with significant expansion in the sectors NPAworldwide has historically serviced. The acquisition will allow IPA members access to new markets, industry sectors, discounted recruitment services, meetings and trading partners, according to Nerz. IPA brings to NPAworldwide a collection of active recruitment firms working with clients and candidates in manufacturing, food and dairy, engineering, and multiple other occupational and industrial niches.

NPAworldwide Recruitment Network is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and has more than 530 member offices operating from locations in 40 countries. NPAworldwide members employ nearly 1500 recruitment consultants. This acquisition is responsible for an 11% increase in total member locations served by the network and an accompanying increase in revenue.
