New AI Tool for Recruitment Marketing

Seems like artificial intelligence, or AI, is the latest tool that is going to kill the recruitment industry. I don’t think AI is going to kill this business any more than fax machines, the internet, or job boards did. In fact at the moment, I might even venture as far as saying that AI in its current iteration is “not quite ready for prime time” in many ways. For recruitment especially, I think there are good ways of using it to streamline or automate certain business processes but it’s got a long way to go before it’s ready to replace the personal element of skilled recruiters. We have recently come across an AI tool, though, that we think is worth your attention. If recruitment marketing is important to you, or you’d like to be doing more with it, please take a look at Jasper. (Disclaimer: NPAworldwide is a Jasper affiliate partner.)

Jasper is a content creation tool that can help you:

  • Write compelling marketing emails for business development
  • Create questions or polls you can use on social media sites like Quora or LinkedIn to engage potential clients and candidates
  • Rewrite bland job postings from your clients to add sizzle that attracts candidates (and increase applications!)
  • Create SEO titles and meta descriptions to increase organic page traffic for your website
  • Write “cold” marketing outreach emails to engage with desirable candidates
  • Improve your business listing on Google
  • Generate lists of potential blog topics for those times when you just can’t thing of what to write … and even better, with an automated “recipe” Jasper will even write the blog for you
  • Write press release intros that generate publicity for your business
  • Translate to multiple languages

Recruitment marketing doesn’t always come easily to recruiters. It requires a fair amount of writing, and many people don’t enjoy writing (or think they aren’t good at it). It’s not an activity that is “close to the money” – and results can be hard to measure. It requires time, or training, or resources (or all of these things), so it just doesn’t rise to the top of the priority list.

I’m using Jasper several times a week for my own marketing needs. One of my favorite features is the Content Improver – as an editor, I often have to rewrite material I receive from other sources. Sometimes that’s fairly simple, other times not so much. The Content Improver speeds that task up for me considerably. Another feature I use (A LOT!) is one that writes email subject lines. While I love to write, “sales-y” stuff doesn’t come naturally for me, so the subject line tool has made my writing life much easier. Overall, I’d say for any given task, Jasper easily handles about 80% of the work, with just some minor tweaks needed.

We get exposed to a lot of tools, but it’s rare to come across something as exciting as this. If you’re looking for a way to ramp up recruitment marketing efforts in your firm, Jasper is definitely worth a look.
