Actually, the robots are already here and their impact will grow in the decade ahead. Surveys show that companies are using AI and AI-powered recruitment tools to assist with recruitment and hiring decisions today. About 25% of those surveyed by The Littler Annual Employer Survey in May of 2019 were using AI to screen resumes and applications. While larger numbers are not yet using AI, (63%), the trend is pointed toward more use in the decade ahead.
Do not resist!
It is tempting to view this onslaught of technology as a fad. Old-timers might ask, “Why would I ever allow a robot, machine, technology do what I do?” Resist that urge. Rather, figure out what can be used to simplify your process and improve your result.
