The membership of NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network has elected a new slate of representatives to its board of directors. The NPA board of directors is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the member-owned international recruiting network. Each NPA director also owns and operates a member recruiting firm. As board members, directors establish NPA’s business plan, identify strategic priorities, develop an annual budget, and oversee network administration.
“NPA is a member-owned network and board leadership is a key part of our success as an organization,” said NPA executive vice president Dave Nerz. He added, “Over the years, our members have provided NPA with outstanding direction and support by electing board members with great insight, industry knowledge, and business expertise. This year is no exception.” Genie Matthews, current chairperson of the board, commented, “We’re exited about the incredible opportunities for split-fee placements in today’s business environment. As a board, we’re looking forward to working with the NPA executive staff and our network of 350 member firms to better serve employers and job seekers.”
Individuals elected to the NPA board of directors include the following:
- Manny Rao, Recruiting Services/RSI, Cincinnati, OH was elected to a one-year term as chair-elect. He will automatically succeed the current chair next year. Manny previously served two, two-year terms as director ane one two-year term as secretary/treasurer of the board.
- Jeff Rudzinsky, Louis Rudzinsky Associates, Inc., Lexington, MA, was elected to a two-year term as secretary/treasurer of the board. He had previously served two terms as a director.
- Kay Durkin, Phoenix Partners, Inc., Ardmore, PA, was re-elected to a second two-year term as director. She is also the current chair of NPA’s sytems committee.
- Rick Corey, OpticsProfessionals, LLC, Penfield, NY, was re-elected to a second two-year term as director. Rick is also chair of NPA’s membership growth committee.
- Kimberley Chesney, Prime Management Group Inc., London and Cambridge, Ontario, was re-elected to a second two-year term as director. Kimberley previously served two, two-year terms as a director and is chair of the membership retention committee.
- Doug Stone, Doug Stone Associates, Austin, TX, was re-elected to a second two-year term as director. Doug also serves as NPA’s SpecialtyNets liaison.
- Jason Elias, Elias Recruitment, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, was elected to a two-year term as co-director with Christine Sturgess. Jason will chair NPA’s international membership growth and retention committee.
- Christine Sturgess, Orex Retail Search, Parkville, Victoria, Australia, was elected to a two-year term as co-director with Jason Elias. She will lead NPA’s international quality, training and mentoring efforts.
