NPA Announces 2006 Salary Data
February 21, 2007NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network reports that 2006 salaries of placed candidates increased by 3.6% over the previous year. NPA tracks salary and other data for all placements reported by its 350 member firms. Executive Vice President Dave Nerz noted, “Both the number of placements and the reported starting salaries increased from 2005. These indicators confirm we are in an economy that is more favorable to candidates seeking work and more difficult for those companies looking to hire or retain employees. In times like these, it is important for hiring managers to seek the help of a professional recruiter to find the best-fit candidates, as opposed to job hoppers chasing higher salaries.”
NPA is a member-owned cooperative based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. The membership is comprised of premier independent recruiters on six continents who work cooperatively to complete searches across virtually all industry and occupational sectors. NPA collects data in the following categories: accounting/finance/banking; administrative/human resources/materials/logistics/operations; process/chemicals/natural resources/mining/oil & gas/environmental; information technology; engineering/design/manufacturing; medical/health care; construction/civil engineering/architecture; nuclear & fossil power/utilities; software & hardware engineering/electronics development; sales and marketing; and various other niches.
“We are experiencing growth and strength in every industrial and occupational area,” according to Genie Matthews, chair of NPA’s board of directors and a member of the network. She further reports that international, cross-border placements are gaining the attention of employers and recruiters alike. “The number of cross-border placements has been slow to grow in NPA, but there is a trend developing. As recruiters, we are getting called on to help solve very difficult and complex assignments anywhere our clients do business.”
