NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network is 50 Years Old
May 12, 2006
GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN: NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network, is announcing the celebration of its 50th anniversary. NPA, an international network of recruiting companies, is based in Grand Rapids, MI, and has members in 18 countries around the world.
NPA is under the direction of a newly-elected Board of Directors, chaired by Genie Matthews of Genie Matthews & Associates, a global recruiting firm operating from Fayetteville, NC. “The landscape of recruiting has changed substantially in 50 years, but some things remain unchanged by time and technology. Relationships and the value of a good business partner can be enhanced by the use of technology but rarely replaced,” says Genie. “I look forward to setting the vision for NPA over the next two years. There is much we can do to embrace change and grow our network around the world.”
From the headquarters location, NPA serves its nearly 400 members. This operation facilitates the sharing of candidates and job openings around the world. “The opportunity to improve support to US and international members is significant,” according to the recently appointed EVP, Dave Nerz. Mr. Nerz is just the third leader in the long history of the NPA cooperative. “It is an exciting time to be with NPA because the network is positioned to take advantage of the global economy. NPA members are years ahead of the trend to assist both job seekers and corporate clients with their employment needs across continents and without regard to borders. As companies grow and become increasingly multinational, they lack the capacity necessary to find people in the markets they serve. Our network makes the complex process of finding and securing key personnel nationally and internationally, in a word, simple. That’s why NPA, and its membership, have prospered for fifty years.”
