The managing director is responsible for activating the existing member recruitment firms while working with NPA staff to add additional member locations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “Alfy Zidan’s experience with recruitment partners, candidates and clients in the region will be a distinct advantage for NPA. We have learned that our best successes come from global thinking that is locally-inspired and directed by volunteers,” said Dave Nerz, the president of NPA, a member-owned global recruiting network. “NPA’s goal is to bring independent recruiting firms together to facilitate cooperative split-fee placements and it is important to have someone of Alfy’s character and experience to lead the local effort.”

Like other NPA members, Mr. Zidan is a recruitment business owner and a voting member of the NPA member-owned cooperative. “NPA is a member-owned network, and member volunteer leadership is a key part of our success as an organization,” said NPA chairperson Kimberley Chesney. “Member-owners have provided the NPA cooperative with outstanding direction and support. Global Recruiting Network Survey Indicates Why Employees Leave

GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN, USA – April 18, 2013 – Results of a global recruiting network survey indicate the top reasons employees leave for new employment opportunities. NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network has released the results of its Global Retention Survey. NPA member recruiters, participating in more than 400 successful placements in 2012, were asked to document the reasons and motivations for candidates leaving existing employers for new employment opportunities.

“A recruiter becomes expert in understanding the reasons and motivation behind a candidate’s actions after multiple weeks or months, and sometime even years of working with a candidate,” said Dave Nerz, president of NPA. “This survey offers some insight into what employers must do to retain their best employees. Recruiters are rarely paid to attract and move poor performers or average candidates. Employers paying recruiting fees expect the top 10% of candidates available. Top employees are often leaving for reasons that are within the control of employers.”

The survey results of over 400 candidate placements in 2012 showed the following:

  • 47.9% of the surveys cited at least one organizational factor for the candidate’s change of employers. “Organizational” reasons refer to the size, stability, and direction of the company as well as training/development offered to employees.
  • 41.5% of responses included one job-specific motivator for an employee’s change of employers. These responses covered job travel, hours, compensation and benefits, relationship with peers and management, and job stability.
  • Only 10.6% of surveys listed a personal reason for the change of employers. “Personal” motivators such as seeking growth or challenge were offered as reasons most frequently.

“The top three reasons mentioned in the survey were seeking growth/challenge/ change; unsatisfactory career progression; and job stability lacking,” reports Nerz. “That means employers can, in large part, impact the retention of top employees with greater focus on these contributing factors.”

Grand Rapids, MICHIGAN, USA — NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network announced the results of its business barometer survey. The survey is done twice annually and engages members of NPA’s global recruiters network as boutique and independent recruiters in documenting past results of the employment markets and predicting future results

“Our member recruiters are generally optimistic about the growth potential for the employment markets in the next 6 months and the positive impact on their contingent recruiting businesses,” said Dave Nerz, president of NPA. “This survey of recruiting firm owners showed that 76.1% of those surveyed see conditions improving for their businesses over the next 180 days.”

Some other results of this survey of 400 independent members of the global recruiters network showed the following:

  • The majority of respondents (56%) are from North America.
  • A significant percentage (28%) of responses came from Australia/New Zealand.
  • 44% reported improved conditions in the last 180 days, 30% indicated no change, and 27% reported worse conditions.
  • 63% reported employment markets performing at or above expectations in the last 90 days.
  • 40% of respondents see their market getting more competitive.
  • Only 11% of the respondents have a negative outlook for the next 6 months.
  • The majority (90%) project fees to remain at or above the levels realized in the prior 6 months.

“The reported information was positive on where NPA members are headed and perhaps the contingent recruiting industry as a whole,” said Nerz. “Globally, small independent recruiting firms are experiencing good growth and anticipating more in the months ahead.”

The survey also seeks to identify “strong” and “weak” industries/segments of the employment markets covered by members of the global recruiters network. The most active markets identified by the survey were chemical, fast-moving consumer goods, sales and marketing, supply chain, medical device and metallurgy related job openings. Weaker-performing segments were identified related to positions in the areas of mining, construction and executive leadership.

Global Recruiting Organizations Strengthen Strategic Partnership

January 18th, 2012 by Veronica Blatt

NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network with global headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA originally entered into a strategic alliance with TEAM – The Employment Agency Movement, based in the UK in late 2009. Both organizations are engaged in the business of facilitating networking between their member firms offering independent recruiting, executive search and temporary staffing. The alliance has been formed to increase global recruiting opportunities for the cumulative membership. Clients and candidates represented by these two networks have benefited from the worldwide connections and boundary-breaking reach available from the combined networks of NPA and TEAM.

As a result of recent negotiations between the two organizations, arrangements have been agreed to permitting all NPA members a joint membership in TEAM on trial basis.  “Whilst our UK membership and regional networking continues to grow” comments Liz Longman, TEAM MD, “there have been many instances where the skills of our members UK-based candidates are keenly sought after by our overseas clients and vice versa. The world is ever shrinking and certainly many skills and abilities are portable.  We welcome this opportunity to provide a truly international network of opportunities to our membership.”

The arrangement provides NPA with a larger presence and more points of connection in the UK and across Europe. The NPA-TEAM alliance creates a combined global recruiting network of over 800 locations with coverage in a broad range of occupations and industries. “NPA is excited to have a working relationship with TEAM. We believe there is value for NPA members, TEAM members and for the clients and candidates represented by each,” states Dave Nerz, President of NPA.

NPA job board promotes jobs advertised by recruiters

NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network (http://www.npaworldwide.com), has launched a new job board for job seekers. The board is the first to allow candidates to search local jobs, regional jobs, and international career opportunities exclusively offered by NPA international search firms.

“These are only jobs posted by recruiters” said Russ Bray (Southern Recruiting Solutions), NPA Regional Director and strategic leader of NPA’s project to make public recruiter advertised jobs. “The advantages are simple. There is no employer access to the jobs listed by recruiters on the NPA site. Most boards allow employers to advertise and also allow employers to buy access to the database. So you could be applying to your current employer. This board provides a private job search, exclusively through international search firms and worldwide recruiters.”

“Job seekers will have the ability to post a resume to a group of recruiters focused on international career opportunities”, says Dave Nerz, President of the NPA network of international search firms. “Registration is optional which makes it easy for candidates to use the NPA job board site to post a resume or to just apply for jobs by recruiters. Posting a resume allows over 1400 recruiters worldwide to view you as a candidate for active career opportunities they are working.”

NPA is a worldwide network of independent recruiters. The recruiters work together to find the best fit candidates for the job openings they fill on behalf of an employer. NPA has been facilitating local job search as well as regional and international job search for over 55 years.

The NPA Job Board is located at https://searchnpaworldwidejobs.com.

Job Growth Evident to NPA, The Worldwide Recruiting Network

June 24th, 2010 by The Imagination Factory

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 24, 2010

Following nearly 18 months of below-average placement activity by its member recruiting firms, NPA (www.npaworldwide.com) reports a significant increase in job fills as a result of candidate placements. “Some members are seeing a return to more normal levels of recruiting activity but it is still very dependent on industries, geographies, and specialty,” says Dave Nerz, the president of NPA, an international split-fee recruiting network.

A recent report issued by ExecuNet, an executive level job board, echoed the findings of NPA. ExecuNet’s president and chief economist, Mark Anderson, indicated in his post that recruiters are more confident in future employment by clients. The averages of the ExecuNet Recruiter Confidence Index are at the highest level since July 2007.  Mr. Anderson goes on to list the strongest industry areas as:

   1. Healthcare
   2. Clean/Green Technology
   3. Energy
   4. Manufacturing
   5. Pharmaceuticals/Medical Devices/Biotech

NPA indicates that the most active placement areas in the recruiter-owned network are business analysts/IT, manufacturing-related engineering, and sales and marketing positions. “While this is great news for recruiters and those seeking work, it is a cautionary signal to CEOs and those responsible for retaining and developing talent in organizations…hold on to the talent you have,” says Nerz. “There is also a perception by client companies that candidates are plentiful and that speed of action is not an issue when the right fit candidate is located. While it may still be some time before candidates routinely have multiple offers, the best candidates are not available indefinitely and do have alternatives in this rebounding employment market.”
